 Sweet as a “Georgia Peach!”

(Includes shipping, full sized peach pincushion, decorative pins, and small peach)

So… it’s the end of summer here in Ohio, and my family and I have just been devouring sweet, fragrant peaches left and right.  I couldn’t help but to be inspired to make an absolutely sweet little bear!  I am ever so pleased to introduce you to Georgia!      If you are interested in purchasing her, please click the Buy Now Pay Pal button just above.  Clicking the button allows you sign in securely to the Pay Pal system.  If you don’t have a Pay Pal account, Pay Pal can still securely process your payment using most debit or credit cards.   I do not charge for shipping… that’s my gift to YOU!

Georgia is made from a rare fabric find!   I was lucky enough to purchase some gorgeous Malden Mills upholstery fabric in a beautiful peach color!  This lovely longer pile fabric  has that lovely sheen that  just lends so much personality and “spark” to this wee bear cub!

Georgia measures in at just about 4 and 3/4  inches standing.   She has bent arms and straight legs with wire armature, so she can hold soft poses with her arms and legs…. or wrap those cute paws around her own little peach!

Georgia has pale green eyes with an undereye white accent and a sewn in upper eyelid.  She has subtle shading near her mouth and eyes as well as above her cute little nose. Her face has been deeply sculpted using invisible internal stitches.  Her nose is stitched in peach silk floss and has been sealed for durability and a soft shine.  Her front and rear paws have pads made of ultra suede, and they have tiny little pulled and shaded toes.

I’ve shown you an extreme close up of the detail work on little Georgia.  Her dress in made of off-white fine cotton lawn.  I’ve actually gathered and smocked this little dress around the bodice.  Her collar is made of ultra suede.  I’ve done some embroidery work and crocheted white edging using white silk sewing thread.  A peach silk ribbon rose adorns one ear as well as the collar.  A tiny glass seed bead accents each rosette.

Her dress ties at the back with peach and cream silk ribbon streamers.  Her ensemble is not designed to be removed.

Georgia will bring with her this lovely peach pincushion.  It’s made from soft velvet.  I’ve added some shading to give a mottled realistic appearance.  The leaf is made of French wired ribbon.  I sculpted the decorative pin toppers from polymer clay.  She’ll also bring her own miniature version of the pincushion.   They are both stuffed with Poly Fil.

As always, I’ve paid very close attention to making sure that my miniatures have all the detail and intricacy of a much larger bear.  I am also a stickler for proportion.  I really like for them to pass for large bears until you see a  picture of one in my hand.

Georgia will arrive lovingly gift boxed and with her own photographic Certificate of Authenticity.
