UPDATE: AURA will be on her way to Hawaii to make her new home!
There is absolutely something special about the month of May. Here in Ohio, it’s the time when the trees all start to bud out and the first Spring flowers arrive to delight our very souls after the harsh winter. I am nearly always inspired to make a fairy or two at this thine of year! I’m pleased as punch to introduce you to Aura.
Aura is currently available directly from me for $362.00 US. If you are interested in purchasing Aura, please click the Buy Now Pay Pal button just above. Clicking the button allows you sign in securely to the Pay Pal system. If you don’t have a Pay Pal account, Pay Pal can still securely process your payment using most debit or credit cards… after clicking the Buy Now button, just choose the “Don’t have a Pay Pal Account” option. I do not charge for shipping… that’s my gift to YOU!
Aura is made of a wonderfully soft micro plush in the palest baby-blue. Her inset muzzle and chest patch are made of pristine white micro plush. Aura also has front and back paw pads made of white ultra suede.
Aura measures in at 4 and 3/4 inches standing. She has bent arms and straight legs with wire armature. The best way to imagine the proportions of my bears is to look at the photos of them with my hand.
Aura has soft pearly gray eyes. She has a stitched in undereye white accent and a sewn in upper eyelid. She is shaded with a bit of deeper gray around her eyes, in her ears and above her nose. Her face has been deeply sculpted using invisible internal stitches. Nose is stitched in blue-gray colored silk floss.
Both her arms and legs have an internal armature that allows Aura to hold soft poses. You can turn her feet out and lightly bend her wrists and elbows.
Aura wears at tattered fairy skirt made from multiple layers of fabrics which I’ve artfully distressed and flame singed. There are tiny flecks of reflective particles on some of the fabrics. It’s an effect best appreciated in person.
It’s exceedingly difficult to truly capture a photo of her wings without a dark background and just the right lighting. I love making these wings! I feel like a fairy godmother every time I do it! The photo below is of a very similar pair of fairy wings taken in better light so you can appreciate a bit more of what the wings look like when you see them with your own eyes.
They are constructed over wire, and made of silk, iridescent films, glitter and liquid polymer. They are actually quite sturdy, though they look as delicate as they should. It doesn’t take much to lift a fairy into the air! They are very flexible and can be gently posed to suit your fairy’s mood!
As always, I’ve paid very close attention to making sure that my miniatures have all the detail and intricacy of a much larger bear. I am also a stickler for proportion. I really like for them to pass for a full sized artist bear until you see a picture of one in my hand.
Aura will arrive lovingly gift boxed and with her own photographic Certificate of Authenticity. She is a one of a kind. I can not and will not duplicate her.

As always, thank you for your continued interest in what I do, and thanks for taking a peek at little Aura! Happy Spring!
