New Ribbon Work… Vintage style flat rose

Just finished this little bit up a couple of days ago, and finally found a quiet moment for a picture.  This vintage style flat rose, with two tiny buds and leaves was made of 5 different colors of ribbon in the burgundies, pinks and soft peaches.   Now I’m off to make someone to wear it ’round their neck!  Maybe as a fastener for a lovely little collar….   The dresser scarf I’ve used as a backdrop was made by my Great-Grandmother, Garland.

  1. Soooo beautiful!! I love, love, love ribbonwork!! This piece would look lovely on a pillow or sachet or purse or……a bear!! Who knew? ;o) (Me being silly.)

    Warmest bear hugs, Aleta

  2. Thank you SO much for your kind words! I’m working on a bear right now that will wear this piece of ribbon work… Though, since the rose is quite large and flat, I believe that it will be some sort of headpiece/hat for her… I’m still playng around!
