Once again I am thrilled to be participating in a TeddiesWorldwide on-line bear show!  I have a whole new batch of bears “steeping” for this fabulous “tea party” themed event!  On line preview and a vote for your favorite bear begins March 9, 2012 at 4 PM eastern.  If you click the badge to the right in my side bar, you can get more details, as well as subscribe to the TeddiesWorldwide mailing list for more information.  I am a big believer in the power of tea parties… the childhood kind where you invite all your teddies and dolls for real tea served in miniature cups… Much of the style and characteristics of my Wild Thyme Originals bears come straight from my own childhood fantasies of having my “friends” come to life.  More on that later!

A few of you eMailed me with questions regarding the show, so I’ll do my best to give you a few of the details.  The show starts Friday, November 18th at 4:00 pm NY time.  Once the show starts, if you visit the TeddiesWorldwide website, you can click to be taken to each artists’ individual page where they will be displaying their creations.  The show is first come, first served ( no auctions).  I will have clickable Pay Pal buttons next to each available bear so that you can reserve and pay for your bear as quickly as possible.  My show preview bear, Neve, is just one of 5-7 bears that I will have available for immediate purchase as soon as the show begins.  I have had quite a few folks express an interest in purchasing her, but I can not and will not sell her or reserve her for any individual customer before the show begins.  I have not yet figured out pricing for the show.  I do know that I will NOT be charging for shipping/postage costs.  Each bear will be mailed Priority Mail or International Priority Mail at my expense.  Insurance, if desired, is NOT included.  Should you wish to obtain shipping insurance, simply eMail me after your purchase and I will obtain a quote for you and bill you separately.

I will be available via eMail to answer questions during the show.  However, my daughter has a gymnastics meet on Saturday, and my son has a wrestling tournament on Sunday.  How’s that for busy!?  I will do my utmost to tear myself away from the kid sports and check eMail’s from time to time.  I may not be able to answer immediately.  The show ends on Sunday, November 20th, also at 4 pm NY time.  Should you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

In the meantime, here’s a photo of Neve…  she’s 15 inches and made of long white curly kid mohair.  Her tiara and tutu are removable.  She’s a little snowflake princess inspired by Waltz of the Snowflakes from The Nutcracker.

I blinked my eyes and here we are 12 years later….

Beard and a tie!  In one week he’ll be headed off to Muskingum University to study Neuroscience!  Still completely in shock here.

I’ve actually been helping out my Lawyer Husband with a bit of this as well…

Plus Halloween, a couple of Birthdays….

THIS was the year that my youngest started 1st grade… that’s three in school FULL TIME, and me at HOME FULL TIME.  So, why hasn’t there been any extra time?  Just constantly running around, one thing after the next.  And, oh… I realized that I never put the Christmas wreaths away in the store area last year.  They’ve just been sitting in my studio for 11 months… so at least THOSE will be easy to find this year.

I’m trying to  run fast… really, I am!

You dont have to do any thing for me … 

… except help me with my obvious lack of punctuation, oh and my spelling…. maybe provide food, water, shelter, clothing.  Yea, just the basic necessities.

Oh and wash, dry and fold my clothes, make me breakfast, lunch, dinner & a few snacks, pick out my clothes, dry my hair, style my hair, help me with homework.  Take me places like the doctor and dentist, and to and from whatever lessons my little heart desires.  It would be cool if you, you know, paidfor those things too.  And maybe braces, summer dance camp, private school.  You can entertain me when I’m bored, cheer me up when I’m sad, and comfort me when my friends are mean.  You could buy me a car, pay for the insurance and gas.  Make sure I get home alive from each and every night out.  In the future, I might let you send me to college and law school.  Maybe even help me purchase my first house.  You can help me figure out how to raise my own kids, and pitch in and give me a hand when they are on my last nerve. 

Just a few things, but other than that…  I CAN DO STUFF MYSELF!

The Alice in Raggedyland is made by a lovely lady named Julie G. Marcotte.  Her work is amazing!  She makes raggedys of every sort, bakers, nurses… you just have to see it to believe it.  Her craftsmanship is stellar and when you hold one in your hand, you can truly feel and see the love & care that clearly goes into each and every stitch.  Take a peek for yourself please!  She sells on eBay and from her website, has patterns, does custom orders, etc…  If you are a collector… I swear to God… you will have found heaven!

The funny thing is… Raggedy Ann was my very first love.  I had several dolls which sat in my nursery when I was a baby. As I got old enough to hold things, I played with them.  My second birthday was totally Raggedy Ann themed… right down to the cake.  AND I WAS Raggedy Ann for my second Halloween… like I really believed I WAS her!  Several years ago I wrote a whole blog post about it …
